Finding means to engage with pupils can be a challenge, yet captured in one place we have tomorrow’s designers, teachers, business leaders and parents who have grown up in these communities and have the active knowledge of life in the school. This resource is often left untapped. Giving pupils the respect of proper consultation that encourages their participation, and engages with them honestly supports the overarching aim of the Curriculum for Excellence to develop our young people to be responsible citizens, effective contributors, successful learners and confident individuals.

At Juniper Green Marc engaged artist Tassy Thompson to conduct workshops with the pupils on the designs for large concrete murals along the entrance concourse through to the eventual making of the moulds.
