As a grant maintained School our appointment to complete the redevelopment of Jordanhill School Campus was made directly by the Scottish Government. The new extension to Jordanhill School provides 18 new classrooms for the secondary school, accommodating four school departments including a large open plan art department. The development also included the redesign of the southern half of the site, improving the setting for the listed main building, providing new campus circulation and play areas and renewing the school refectory. Within a standard budget the focus was to make best use of the site, respond to the setting and create exemplary accommodation.

The building is split into two wings around an atrium, flooded with natural light. The atrium unifies the discreet elements of the building without fragmentation, and within a very rational plan creates a dynamic that brings the building to life.
